There was a big surprise in the 3rd round of the Ziraat Turkish Cup. Nesine 3rd League representative Bitlis Spor 1916 defeated Kayserispor, who were relegated from the Super League last season and are competing in the 1st League this season, 4-1. While the Bitlis team booked its place in the next round, Kayserispor bid farewell to the cup.

Kayserispor, who took the field with a rotation squad made up mostly of young players in the match played at the new Bitlis Eren Stadium, could not respond to the home team's effective play.

Bitlis Spor 1916 took a 1-0 lead with Ali Akkuş's goal in the 30th minute. The home team's goal scored by Muhammet Arslantaş in the 39th minute was disallowed for offside.

Muhammet Arslantaş, who appeared on the scene again in the 45th minute, doubled the lead. In the final moments of the first half, the goal Efe Kemal Güler scored from midfield was also not counted due to a foul.

THE GAP WIDENED IN THE SECOND HALF

Bitlis Spor 1916, who also started the second half quickly, made the score 3-0 with Halil Yılmaz's goal in the 53rd minute. Kayserispor reduced the deficit to two with Mert Denizli's own goal in the 62nd minute. The home team made it 4-1 with Enes İslam İlkin's goal in the 80th minute. Kayserispor's goal scored by Malik Hayvali in the 90+1st minute was disallowed due to offside.

FANS ENTERED THE PITCH IN THE FINAL MINUTES

In the final moments of the match, fans entering the pitch from the stands drew attention. As there were no other goals in the remaining minutes, Bitlis Spor 1916 defeated Kayserispor 4-1 and advanced to the next round in the Turkish Cup.
