A 17-year-old disabled girl lost her life due to smoke inhalation in a fire that broke out in a single-story house in Elazığ.
FIRE BROKE OUT IN A DETACHED HOUSE
The incident occurred on İpekyolu Street in the Salıbaba neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the single-story detached house for an unknown reason. Neighbors who noticed the smoke intervened and extinguished the fire. Citizens also rescued 17-year-old Sude Naz Bozyiğit, who was disabled and bedridden, and informed health, police, and fire brigade teams about the situation.
DISABLED GIRL COULD NOT BE SAVED
Teams that arrived at the scene took Bozyiğit, who was exposed to carbon monoxide gas, into the ambulance for treatment. Despite all interventions, the 17-year-old girl could not be saved and lost her life. Bozyiğit's lifeless body was taken to the morgue of Fırat University Hospital for an autopsy.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
