Judge O.Ö., who serves in Ankara, was reported to the HSK on the allegation that he exposed his genitals during a video call to a woman to whom he presented himself as 32 years old and single. While an investigation authorization was being proposed for the judge, the woman who filed the complaint was arrested on charges of blackmail.
The process between judge O.Ö., who serves in Ankara, and 22-year-old Ş.A., whom he met through a dating platform for legal professionals on social media, turned into a major scandal. It emerged that O.Ö., who is alleged to have introduced himself on social media under the name 'Ozan' as 32 years old and single, is in fact 43 years old and married.
According to a report by Ensonhaber reporter Rojda Altıntaş, the messages and allegations between the parties prompted judicial and administrative authorities to take action.
VIDEO CALL ENTERED THE HSK FILE
During the period when the pair continued communicating via social media and WhatsApp, it was alleged that judge O.Ö. made a video call with Ş.A. while at the courthouse during working hours and showed his genital organ. It was learned that Ş.A. took screen recordings of these calls and filed a complaint with HSK via CİMER, email and petitions.
Following these developments, as a result of the examination conducted by the Chief Inspector of the Board, the First Chamber of HSK unanimously decided to appoint an inspector and open an investigation into O.Ö.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR BLACKMAIL
Even after the application to HSK, the parties did not completely cut off communication, and allegations of threats, insults and stalking escalated between them. After O.Ö. was appointed to Ankara, when Ş.A. came to the courthouse, the judge filed a complaint against the young woman and had a restraining order issued.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, proceedings were initiated against Ş.A. on charges of 'violation of privacy', 'stalking' and 'blackmail'. After giving her statement to the prosecutor's office, Ş.A. was referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace and was arrested and sent to prison within the scope of the blackmail charge.
