A few days after the theft of his mobile phone from his workplace in Giresun, auto brake master Hurşit Özarslan had a total of 650,000 TL withdrawn and spent from his mobile bank account within 30 minutes. Özarslan immediately went to the gendarmerie to file a complaint, stating, "I am paying the credit installments. I am someone who lives on a retirement pension. I demand that these thieves be found as soon as possible."
On June 12, in the Çavuşlu town of the Görele district in Giresun, it was claimed that auto brake master Hurşit Özaslan (68) was working when individuals entered his shop and stole the phone that was on the table.
HE LOST 650,000 TL IN HALF AN HOUR
Özarslan realized a few days later that within 30 minutes, 300,000 TL was withdrawn as a loan, 76,000 TL was taken as cash advance, and 25,000 TL was spent from his mobile bank account. He went to the gendarmerie and filed a complaint. Investigations revealed that the withdrawn money was transferred to two different names.
"I AM PAYING THE LOAN INSTALLMENTS"
Özarslan, who stated that he started paying the installments of the expenses amounting to approximately 650,000 TL, demanded the identification of the individuals who stole his phone and the return of the payments to him. Describing his experience, Özarslan said, "I was working in my shop. The phone was on the table. The citizens who came to the shop stole my phone. As soon as they stole it, within half an hour, they first withdrew a loan of 300,000 TL from my phone, then took a cash advance of 76,000 TL and spent 25,000 TL. They transferred the money to accounts of people living in Ordu and Samsun. I filed a complaint with the gendarmerie. I have done the necessary procedures, but no result has come yet. I am paying the loan installments. This loan and expenses amount to approximately 650,000 TL with interest. I have also made the necessary complaints for their capture," he said.
"I AM SOMEONE LIVING ON A RETIREMENT SALARY"
Özarslan, who wants the thieves to be found, said, "I bought a new phone. I froze all my bank accounts. I also put a password on my new phone. These individuals were breaking the passwords and doing everything. I have tied everything to installments and I am making the payments. I demand that these thieves be found as soon as possible. I am someone living on a retirement salary. I am working here as much as I can. I am 68 years old, and after years of dealing with cars, I have no chance of paying this money. I hope they will be found. I want my money to be taken from these individuals and the payments in the bank to be made," he said.
