The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has initiated an investigation, stating that luxury vehicles like Ferraris have been made available for use in Turkey with a "T" plate without taxes. It has been determined that companies have abused the regulations, and inspectors are pursuing the irregularities.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has scrutinized companies regarding the tax-free use of luxury vehicles, primarily Ferraris brought from abroad, with a "T" license plate in Turkey.

According to the regulations, personal vehicles brought by passengers from abroad can stay in Turkey for a maximum of 24 months. At the end of this period, which was extended from 6 months to 24 months in 2015, the vehicles must be taken out of the country. Additionally, these vehicles must only be used by the person who brought them.

ABUSE OF "T LICENSE PLATE" IN LUXURY VEHICLES

According to ministry sources, some companies are violating regulations by making luxury vehicles available for use in Turkey. It has been determined that the vehicles are actually on the road with a "T" license plate issued for "prototypes or road tests."

INSPECTORS HAVE TAKEN ACTION

Finance inspectors have initiated a comprehensive review regarding vehicles released to the market tax-free. It has been reported that the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has accelerated its efforts to detect irregularities and implement necessary sanctions.
