In the Gemlik district of Bursa, a large number of decayed cattle heads were found stacked for sale to offal sellers in an empty repair shop, following complaints about a foul odor.
CATTLE HEADS FOUND IN THE REPAIR SHOP
Upon complaints about a bad smell coming from an empty repair shop in the BAĞ-KUR Industrial Site, the Gemlik Municipality Zoning Directorate and police teams went to the address for inspection. In the repair shop, which was opened by a locksmith, many cattle heads were found stacked between pallets.
ALL OF THEM DECAYED
It was determined that the animal heads, which were collected during the Sacrifice Feast and found to be stored under unhealthy conditions, had decayed. The decayed cattle heads, which were stacked for sale to offal sellers, were seized for destruction, and an investigation was initiated by the Gemlik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of 'selling or keeping spoiled, altered, or unhealthy food products.'
