Three young people chatting in the area where the accident occurred saw the vehicle at the last moment and fled, while 3 people were slightly injured in the accident.
STEPPED ON THE GAS INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE, ROLLED OVER AND FELL
The incident occurred around 14:00 in the Saadetdere Neighborhood of Esenyurt district. According to information obtained, the driver of the vehicle with license plate 06 CHZ 28, S.K., stepped on the gas instead of the brake. S.K., who lost control of the vehicle that accelerated within seconds, crashed into the steps of the business on the street, and then the vehicle rolled over and fell into a building gap. While 3 young people chatting in the building gap noticed the vehicle seconds earlier and fled, those around ran and intervened with those in the vehicle. Three people, including the vehicle driver S.K., were slightly injured, while the panic that occurred after the accident was captured on camera.
CITIZEN WHO RUSHED TO HELP DESCRIBED THE INCIDENT
İsmail Bayar, who ran to intervene with the injured in the first moments of the accident, said, "The woman probably panicked and stepped on the gas instead of the brake. She was already coming fast. First she crashed into the steps of the real estate office, and then she rolled over and fell into the building gap. I immediately rushed to help. The woman was in shock at those moments and we immediately took her out of the vehicle. She and the man next to her were slightly injured. Three young people were also chatting where the vehicle fell; they too escaped at the last moment. Thank God it fell there, otherwise it would have plunged into the street and caused a bigger accident."
