Mustafa Efe, a resident of the neighborhood who noticed the cats and reported them, told reporters that he saw eight dead cats in the lot while passing by the street. Efe stated that the cats had various injuries on their bodies, saying, "All the cats were thrown in one place. Poisoning is impossible. The residents here feed the cats.
