In Florence, Italy, a female tourist caused outrage by engaging in inappropriate behavior towards the valuable Bacchus statue.
An unidentified blonde tourist was seen climbing next to Giambologna's Bacchus statue and pretending to kiss the bronze sculpture. The woman, wearing denim shorts and a black t-shirt, performed inappropriate actions towards the statue while her friend took a photo. A second woman in black shorts knelt in front of the statue, mimicking a sexual act.

Authorities are demanding a "zero tolerance" policy towards disrespectful tourists. Patrizia Asproni from the cultural heritage organization Confcultura stated, "We need to implement the Singapore model: strict controls, heavy fines, zero tolerance." Police chief Antonella Ranaldi emphasized that tourists are welcome, but respect for monuments is essential. The footage quickly spread in Italy, leading to local outrage.
