During the budget discussions in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, İYİ Party Deputy Ömer Karakaş's harsh remarks towards Abdullah Öcalan caused tension in the General Assembly. DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Sezai Temelli responded by labeling the comments as insults, and the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Pervin Buldan, granted the DEM Party the right to reply.
The ongoing budget discussions in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey have witnessed fierce debates between the İYİ Party and the DEM Party. The words of İYİ Party Deputy Ömer Karakaş regarding Abdullah Öcalan raised the tension in the General Assembly.
"THAT BABY KILLER IN IMRALI..."
Ömer Karakaş, speaking on behalf of the İYİ Party, stated in his speech, "You are trying to create a peace dove from a dishonorable baby killer. That baby killer in Imralı, the terrorist leader, is dishonorable. No one can place that baby killer dishonorable person at the center of Turkey. No one can talk about the right to hope."
"WE RETURN IT IN KIND"
Following Karakaş's speech, DEM Party Group Deputy Chairman Sezai Temelli took the floor to respond. Temelli stated that the speech was beyond the limits of politics, saying, "Throughout his speech, the further his words were from politics, the closer they were to insults. Such insults are unacceptable. We return it in kind."
PERVIN BULDAN CONSIDERED IT "INSULT"
As the debate escalated, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Pervin Buldan intervened. Buldan assessed Karakaş's statements as insults and granted the DEM Party the right to respond.
