Budget revenues amounted to 917.1 billion TL, while expenditures reached 1 trillion 56.3 billion TL. A decrease in the budget deficit was observed compared to the same period last year.

In January 2025, the central government budget expenditures amounted to 1 trillion 56.3 billion TL, budget revenues were 917.1 billion TL, and the budget deficit was 139.3 billion TL. Additionally, the non-interest budget expenditures were 893.3 billion TL, and the non-interest surplus was 23.8 billion TL. The central government budget had a deficit of 150 billion 719 million TL in January 2024, while it had a deficit of 139 billion 259 million TL in January 2025. In January 2024, there was a non-interest deficit of 29 billion 626 million TL, while in January 2025, there was a non-interest surplus of 23 billion 759 million TL.



BUDGET EXPENDITURES REACHED 1 TRILLION 56 BILLION



The central government budget expenditures as of January amounted to 1 trillion 56 billion 342 million TL. Interest expenditures were 163 billion 18 million TL, while expenditures excluding interest were 893 billion 324 million TL. Of the 14 trillion 731 billion 14 million TL allocated for central government budget expenditures in 2025, 1 trillion 56 billion 342 million TL was spent in January. In the same month of the previous year, 767 billion 968 million TL was spent. January budget expenditures increased by 37.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. The realization rate of expenditures against budget allocations was 6.9% in 2024 and 7.2% in 2025. Expenditures excluding interest increased by 38.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 893 billion 324 million TL. The realization rate of expenditures excluding interest against budget allocations was 6.6% in 2024 and 7% in 2025.



BUDGET REVENUES REACHED 917 BILLION 83 MILLION



The central government budget revenues as of January amounted to 917 billion 83 million TL. Tax revenues were 792 billion 667 million TL, and general budget non-tax revenues were 104 billion 29 million TL. In January 2024, budget revenues were 617 billion 249 million TL, while in January 2025, they increased by 48.6% to reach 917 billion 83 million TL. According to the budget forecast, the realization rate of budget revenues in January was 7.3% in 2024 and 7.2% in 2025. The tax revenue collection for January 2025 increased by 53.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 792 billion 667 million TL. The realization rate of tax revenues against the budget forecast was 7% in 2024 and 7.1% in 2025.
