Kasımpaşa's head coach Burak Yılmaz made statements regarding the season. The young coach stated that Galatasaray's Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is the standout player in the Super Lig this season.
Kasımpaşa Technical Director Burak Yılmaz spoke to AA correspondent about Turkish football, the competition in the Süper Lig, the championship race, and Kasımpaşa's goals.
''IF WE LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, WE WILL MOVE FORWARD''
Burak Yılmaz, who has played in Turkey as well as in France, the Netherlands, and China during his football career, responded to the question, "What do you think is the biggest problem in Turkish football?" by saying, "Football is a sport. Every season, one team will be the champion. We need to accept this. I have played abroad as well. This is a culture. For a match that will start on Saturday at 16:00, people go to the stadium at 14:00. There is an event happening there. After the match, regardless of the score, the event continues. People have turned this into a culture and entertainment. In our case, it is the opposite. We look at football as if it is a matter of life or death. I don't want that. Football is a wonderful sport that ends wars. If we look at it this way, I believe we will move forward." he stated.
''THE LEAGUE DOES NOT DEVELOP WITH TWO TEAMS''
Burak Yılmaz argued that the fact that the championship race in the Trendyol Süper Lig has been between two teams for the last two seasons indicates that there has been no development in terms of the game, saying, "It is very clear that two teams have pulled away. We see that the value of the Süper Lig has increased significantly with the incoming players and coaches. I hope this increase continues as a league that is watched more and makes our name known in Europe. If there is less fighting, criticism of referees, and a war-like atmosphere, and if we remember that football is a sport, the league will become more enjoyable. Ideally, I would like to see not just two but five teams competing in the Süper Lig, with more competition. I hope more teams from Anatolia can reach the finals in the Turkish Cup. I wish for this to happen. Unfortunately, the fact that only two teams remain at the top shows that the Süper Lig has not developed in terms of the game. I believe we will develop with three to five teams competing for the top in the coming seasons." he said.

Burak Yılmaz stated that Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker of Galatasaray, has made a significant impact in the Trendyol Süper Lig this season with his performance, saying, "He is a wonderful and valuable football player. Whoever brought him to Galatasaray deserves congratulations. Even if he is on loan, having such a player in Galatasaray is very valuable for Turkish football.
