In Mexico, 17 people lost their lives due to Hurricane John.

In Hurricane John, which made its impact felt in Mexico, 17 people lost their lives. Rainfall reached 80% of normal levels in a short period, causing significant damage.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador stated in a post on the social media platform X that 15 people have died due to the disasters caused by Hurricane John in the city of Acapulco, located in the southern state of Guerrero. Officials in the state of Oaxaca also reported that 2 people lost their lives in the state. Authorities noted that approximately 80% of the expected annual rainfall for the state fell between September 23-27.

THE MEXICAN ARMY IS DELIVERING AID SUPPLIES TO AREAS AFFECTED BY THE HURRICANE

Meanwhile, the Mexican army has begun delivering aid supplies to areas affected by the hurricane. Mexico was hit by Hurricane Otis in 2023. In the hurricane, which affected approximately 900,000 people, more than 50 people lost their lives, and significant damage occurred.
