STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE The Şanlıurfa Governor's Office announced that damage assessment and evaluation studies would be conducted in the field following the hailstorm experienced in the districts of Bozova, Hilvan, and Halfeti.
In a written statement from the governor's office, it was stated, "On Friday, May 2, 2025, as a result of the hailstorm that was effective in some regions of our province, damage occurred in agricultural production areas in our districts of Bozova, Hilvan, and Halfeti. Damage has occurred in 10 neighborhoods in Bozova, 15 in Hilvan, and 4 in Halfeti for products such as pistachios, olives, and cotton. The damage assessment and evaluation studies to be carried out in the field by our provincial and district agricultural directorates will be completed as soon as possible, and the process will be closely monitored by our governor's office. We express our condolences and best wishes to all producers affected by the hail damage. The identification and resolution of the grievances will be carried out in coordination," it was said.
