Camera footage has emerged from the armed conflict in Afyonkarahisar, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals. It was observed that family members from both sides attempted to intervene in front of individuals holding weapons, while the timely intervention of the gendarmerie prevented the fight from escalating into a massacre. THE REASON FOR THE FIGHT IS STILL UNKNOWNThe incident occurred in the village of Çiğiltepe, located in the Sandıklı district. According to the information obtained, a dispute arose for an undetermined reason among N.K., H.G., H.G., H.K., E.K., H.G., S.G., T.G., A.Ç., and Y.D., who had a feud. As the argument escalated into a fight, Nurgül Kocaoğlu (49), Hatice Gümüş (47), and H.G. (47) were shot with a shotgun and a pistol. Kocaoğlu and Gümüş, who were taken to Sandıklı State Hospital and Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions. Individuals named H.K., E.K., H.G., S.G., T.G., A.Ç., and Y.D. were detained by the gendarmerie in connection with the incident. THE GENDARMERIE'S INTERVENTION PREVENTED A MASSACREThe footage of the conflict shocked those who saw it. In the images, both sides were seen attacking each other with shotguns and pistols, while family members from both sides attempted to intervene in front of individuals holding weapons and tried to prevent them from firing. Upon receiving the notification, the gendarmerie teams, who arrived at the scene, intervened to prevent further deaths and injuries. The intervention of the gendarmerie prevented a potential massacre.
