As the argument escalated, both parties opened fire on each other with handguns. Mehmet Ulupınar was seriously injured by the bullets fired from Ü.A.'s gun. Upon notification, a large number of gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The arriving teams determined that Mehmet Ulupınar had passed away.
