In the historic Tuesday Market in Kadıköy, Istanbul, Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi (15), who went there to buy skateboarding equipment, was brutally stabbed to death by his peers. Shocking moments occurred during the verdict hearing of the murder case.
WOMAN LAWYER WHO SAID "MISFORTUNE" FELL IN THE COURTROOM
According to the information shared by journalist Emrullah Erdinç from the courtroom; the words of the lawyer of one of the defendants, A.Ö., in her defense, "Ahmet's being with them was his misfortune," received a strong reaction in the courtroom. At that moment, the woman lawyer who made these statements suddenly fell to the ground during a change of position. The lawyer continued her defense afterward.
FAMILY LEFT THE COURTROOM
The mother of Ahmet Minguzzi, Yasemin Minguzzi, along with others, left the courtroom to avoid listening to the final words and defenses of the defendants.
VERDICT AWAITED
The trial officially began with the entry of the family members into the courtroom. The four child defendants were connected to the hearing via the SEGBİS method from the prisons where they are held. A verdict is expected to be announced in the case where the final defenses regarding the day of the incident and reports will be taken.
In the last hearing, the prosecutor, who presented his opinion, requested the maximum penalty for the two defendants accused of murder for the child's death and for the other two defendants for aiding the murder, stating, "No reductions or unjust provocation discounts should be applied."

Those who came to support the family shouted slogans outside the courtroom saying, "We want a precedent decision." The family's lawyer chatted with citizens for a while before the hearing.
