Two of the three suspects related to the death of the baby who died from poisoning after pest control in İzmir have been arrested. The incident occurred due to the use of harmful chemicals that pose a risk to human health.
Two of the three people detained in connection with the pesticide incident in which a baby lost its life in İzmir Konak have been arrested.
On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, pesticide was applied on the 3rd floor of a building in the Kahramanlar neighborhood of İzmir's Konak district due to bedbugs, and a 1-year-old baby named Altay Toprak Kınalı was poisoned and lost his life, while the mother, father, and some citizens were also hospitalized.
2 PEOPLE ARRESTED
In the investigations conducted by the police, it was understood that Agricultural Engineer B.Ö., who performed the pesticide application at the residence, used pesticides harmful to human health, which caused the incident.
The engineer B.Ö. who performed the pesticide application, E.G. who assisted, and E.G. who mediated were detained.
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to judicial authorities, and E.G., who mediated, was released under judicial control, while the other suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
