An incredible incident occurred on August 21 in the town of Los Palacios y Villafranca, near Seville, Spain. A customer who came to a café called Las Postas became angry when the waiter told him that they had run out of mayonnaise and set the café on fire.
SET FIRE WITH GASOLINE DUE TO MAYONNAISE
It was reported that the furious customer poured gasoline into the bar area while there were other customers in the café and set it on fire, then fled the scene.
According to news reports in the Spanish press, the 50-year-old man, whose name has not been disclosed, came to the café with his son and ordered two sandwiches. He asked two waiters if they had mayonnaise, and after receiving a negative response, he left the café.
ARRESTED
Reports indicate that a few minutes later, the individual returned to the café with a 1.5-liter bottle containing gasoline. After setting the café on fire, he fled, but was chased by a waiter and quickly apprehended by the police. The suspect is expected to be tried for property damage, arson, and causing danger.
