With the announcement of the inflation figures for December, the products with the highest price increases and decreases have also been revealed. According to the latest figures, eggs, which saw a price increase of 12.17% last month, stood out as the most expensive product.

After the announcement of the inflation figures for December, the products with the highest and lowest price increases became clear. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December 2024. Accordingly, the change in CPI in December 2024 was 1.03% compared to the previous month, 44.38% compared to December of the previous year, 44.38% compared to the same month of the previous year, and 58.51% according to twelve-month averages.

THE PRODUCT WITH THE HIGHEST PRICE INCREASE WAS EGGS

With the announcement of the December inflation figures, the products with the highest and lowest price increases in that month became clear. In December, the highest price increase was experienced in eggs, with an increase of 12.17%. The most significant decrease was in air passenger transportation, with a decrease of 27.78%.

GRAIN PRODUCTS IN SECOND PLACE

The products that experienced the highest price increases were; eggs 12.17%, breakfast cereals 9.88%, potatoes 9.33%, fresh fish 8.33%, margarine 7.84%, ovens, stoves, and stove ovens 7.62%, other major household appliances (vacuum cleaners, etc.) 7.44%, chocolates and confectioneries 6.90%, and coffee 6.52%.

THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DECREASE WAS IN AIR TRANSPORTATION

The products that experienced the most significant decreases were air passenger transportation 27.78%, intercity road passenger transportation 5.66%, women's shoes 4.50%, children's and baby shoes 4.50%, men's shoes 3.82%, and fresh vegetables (excluding potatoes) 2.05%.
