In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Minimum Wage Determination Commission set the new minimum wage for the second half of 2026. The net minimum wage, increased by 16.95 percent in line with the cost of living rate, rose to 61,677 lira.
The minimum wage has been increased in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the second half of 2026.
16.95% COST OF LIVING INCREASE
According to the decision of the TRNC Minimum Wage Determination Commission, following a cost of living increase of 16.95%, the net minimum wage has been raised to 61,677 lira, while the monthly gross minimum wage has been increased to 70,893 lira.
With the new minimum wage tariff, the hourly wage will be applied as 408.99 lira, the daily wage as 3,271.98 lira, and the weekly wage as 16,359.92 lira.
IT WAS PREVIOUSLY APPLIED AS 52,738 LIRA
In the first half of 2026, the minimum wage in the TRNC was applied as a gross of 60,618 lira and a net of 52,738 lira.
2.2 TIMES THE MINIMUM WAGE IN TURKIYE
With the net minimum wage applied for 2026 in Turkiye being 28,075 lira (gross 33,030 lira), the new net minimum wage in the TRNC has reached approximately 2.2 times the figure in Turkiye.
