In his statement, Rafael Grossi said, "There is radioactive and chemical contamination inside Iran's Natanz nuclear facility, but there is no increase in radiation levels outside the facility."

The International Atomic Energy Agency announced in a statement that a nuclear leak occurred in Iran following Israel's attacks on the country.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the early hours, Israel carried out attacks on the Natanz nuclear facility in Iran's capital Tehran, as well as in Tabriz, Isfahan, and the cities of Lorestan, Kermanshah, Shiraz, Khuzestan, Hamadan, and Qom.
In the attacks, high-ranking military officials, including Iranian Chief of General Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Hatem al-Anbiya Central Headquarters Gholamali Rashid, and Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Air and Space Forces Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, along with 6 nuclear scientists, lost their lives.
In Israel's attacks in Tehran, civilian residential areas were also hit, and it was reported that many civilians, including women and children, lost their lives.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that they were conducting attacks on Iran, saying that the attacks would continue "until the danger is eliminated." Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that a state of emergency had been declared in the country.
The Israeli army stated that more than 200 fighter jets participated in the attacks, and it was noted that unmanned aerial vehicles were also used.
