A statement regarding the historic peace agreement between the US and Iran has also come from the Tehran administration. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi officially confirmed the agreement reached with Washington, noting that issues such as sanctions, the nuclear program, and economic development mechanisms will be negotiated within 60 days after the signing of the agreement.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the U.S., stating that the memorandum of understanding will be signed in Switzerland on June 19.

"U.S. COMMITMENTS WILL BE VERIFIED"

According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi made a statement regarding the agreement reached with the U.S. Gharibabadi said, "The text of the memorandum of understanding has been finalized, and the official signing ceremony of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding will take place in Switzerland on Friday. The heads of the two delegations will conduct negotiations to determine future arrangements for the talks. By then, the U.S. side's commitments to end the war, lift the blockade, and release assets will be verified. The 60-day talks depend on the U.S. fulfilling these commitments."

"NUCLEAR PROGRAM WILL BE NEGOTIATED IN 60-DAY PERIOD"

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi noted that within the 60-day period following the signing of the agreement, issues such as sanctions, the nuclear program, and the economic development mechanism will be negotiated.

Gharibabadi stated that the agreement text includes "all of Iran's key views" and said the text will be disclosed to the public before the signing ceremony on June 19.

AGREEMENT ALSO COVERS LEBANON

Stating that the agreement also covers Lebanon, Gharibabadi said, "It will be announced tonight that war and military operations on various fronts, including Lebanon, will be immediately and permanently ended."

Gharibabadi expressed that following Israel's attack on Lebanon, Iran's Armed Forces were preparing for a counterattack, adding that this determination helped U.S. President Donald Trump take a position against Israel and advance certain issues in the agreement text. Gharibabadi noted that despite the agreement, Iran's Armed Forces "are always ready to counter the enemy's plans."
