The spokesperson for the Iranian General Staff, Abulfazl Shekarchi, reacted strongly to a potential attack by the U.S. on Hark Island, stating, "If the U.S. carries out an attack on Hark Island, we will resolutely turn to ashes all the oil and gas facilities of the country that is the source of the attack."
The spokesperson of the Iranian General Staff, Major General Ebulfazl Shikarchi, made a statement regarding the threats from the United States towards Hark Island.
In his statement, Shikarchi said, "Today, the world sees that the Iranian Armed Forces, with the support of our dear nation, have responded strongly to the attacks of the United States and the Zionist regime and have dealt heavy blows to these enemies."
"WE WILL TURN THE FACILITIES OF THE COUNTRY THAT IS THE SOURCE OF THE ATTACK INTO ASHES"
Warning about the threats from the United States towards Hark Island, Shikarchi stated, "Recently, U.S. officials have frequently mentioned an attack on Hark Island. From here, I warn them on behalf of all armed forces and the Iranian nation. If the U.S. carries out any attack on Hark Island, on the oil facilities and oil terminal on this island, we will resolutely turn all oil and gas facilities of the country that is the source of the attack into ashes," he said.
"THERE IS NO RED LINE IN DEFENDING IRAN'S INTERESTS"
Shikarchi emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces always implement their warnings, stating, "There is no red line in defending the interests of the Iranian nation. If these threats are merely psychological operations, the situation is different. However, if it turns into an actual attack, all oil and gas facilities of the country that is the source of the attack will be targeted by the Iranian Armed Forces and will be strongly attacked."
HARK ISLAND AT THE CENTER OF TENSION
Hark Island, located in the Persian Gulf and where a large portion of Iran's oil exports are carried out, has recently become one of the focal points of tension between the U.S. and Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the military targets on the island had been "completely destroyed," stating that they could "hit Hark Island a few more times just for fun."
While Trump's statements raised tensions in the region, Iranian officials indicated that a potential attack would not go unanswered, stating that targeting Hark Island would have serious consequences in global energy markets and would create a 'very heavy equation' in terms of oil prices and energy distribution.
