Iranian clerics issued a striking fatwa regarding former U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The fatwa stated that Trump should be crucified and killed on the grounds that he has waged war against God. The Iranian clerics declared Trump to be an "enemy of God" for threatening Iran's religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In response to Trump's statement threatening Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian clerics declared him "an enemy of God." According to Sharia law, those who commit the crime of "mohareb," meaning "declaring war on God," can face not only execution but also torture, crucifixion, and amputation.
Cleric Najmuddin Tabasi referred to last year's assassination attempt, stating, "The hand that strikes him can also pull the trigger on his throat." Another cleric, Abdolmajid Kharahaani, has launched a fundraising campaign to kill Trump and Netanyahu. It is claimed that some groups supporting this campaign are actively collecting money in the Iranian press.
These developments came after recent statements from Trump and Netanyahu. Last month, Trump stated that he knows where Khamenei is hiding but will not target him for now. Netanyahu claimed that killing Khamenei would bring an end to the war. In response to these statements, Iranian clerics called on Muslims, stating that these two leaders need to be "made to regret."
The U.S.-based organization United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) has called on the international community to take action against these threats from Iran. Figures such as former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and British MP Tom Tugendhat noted that these fatwas against Trump have the potential to incite radicals in the West.
Additionally, calls have been made for the U.S. Department of Justice to issue an INTERPOL red notice against these clerics and to place them on a terrorist list. It is emphasized that such threats pose a serious security issue for both political leaders and civilians.
