Claims that Victor Osimhen would leave the Nigeria national team camp during the Africa Cup of Nations have been denied by the Nigeria Football Federation. It was alleged that Osimhen would leave the camp following a dispute with Ademola Lookman. However, Nigeria national team manager Dayo Enebi Achor stated that the camp is continuing smoothly and that the issues have been easily resolved.
It was claimed that Victor Osimhen, who was in the spotlight due to his argument with Ademola Lookman during the Africa Cup of Nations, would leave the Nigeria National Team camp and return to Turkey. The Nigeria Football Federation has made a statement regarding the matter.

Victor Osimhen, who scored two goals in the match where Nigeria defeated Mozambique 4-0 in the quarter-finals, also drew attention with the argument he had with Ademola Lookman during the match. Reports in the Nigerian press suggested that the star striker left the locker room early after the argument, sat alone on the team bus, and that no one approached him.
It was also quickly brought to the agenda that Osimhen allegedly sent a message to the coaching staff and the federation saying, "I am done with the national team, I am returning to Turkey."

Following the events, the Nigeria Football Federation denied the claim that Osimhen would leave the camp. Nigeria National Team Manager Dayo Enebi Achor stated the following in his statement:
