ERDOĞAN: WE WILL ESTABLISH AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE AND SECURITY

In his statements following the historic summit, President Erdoğan said, "I was pleased to see that we are in complete agreement on almost every issue. We discussed the steps to be taken against the separatist terrorist organization and its supporters that occupy northeastern Syria. I expressed to him that we are ready to provide the necessary support to Syria in the fight against all forms of terrorism, whether it be ISIS or the PKK. We also reaffirmed that we are with them regarding the control of the camps in northeastern Syria. I want to express our satisfaction with the strong will demonstrated by my brother Ahmed Shara in the fight against terrorism. Frankly, we have no other way but to unite our strength towards the same goal for the safety of our countries and our region. I believe that by acting in solidarity, we will fully establish an environment of peace and security in our common geography where there is no terrorism."

SHARA: WE HAVE ESTABLISHED A JOINT STRATEGY AGAINST SECURITY THREATS

Syrian President Shara stated that there are deep and strong relations between the two peoples and that they believe these ties will last for generations, adding: "We reiterate our determination to transform these relations into a deep strategic partnership in every field. In this regard, we have initiated our joint cooperation in humanitarian, economic, cultural, and social areas. Additionally, we are working together on other major strategic issues, primarily to establish a joint strategy to combat security threats in the region. These efforts aim to ensure sustainable security and stability for Syria and Turkey. During the meeting, we addressed the threats that hinder the territorial integrity of northeastern Syria. We discussed the importance of international pressure for Israel to withdraw from the buffer zone in southern Syria and for the 1974 agreement to be implemented."
