Israel violated the ceasefire agreement by launching attacks on southern regions of Lebanon. Numerous locations were targeted with airstrikes, while artillery fire was directed at villages.
Despite the ceasefire that came into effect on April 17, the Israeli army reportedly continues its attacks on Lebanon. Many settlements in the south of the country have been targeted by air and artillery strikes.
NUMEROUS TOWNS BOMBARDED
According to Lebanon's official news agency NNA, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the towns of Tebnin, Kefre, Şakra and Yatir during the afternoon hours. Israeli artillery targeted Biyut Siyad, while an attack with phosphorus munitions was carried out on the town of Beraşit.
HOUSES DESTROYED WITH EXPLOSIVES
It was reported that the Israeli army continues demolition activities in the occupied areas. Soldiers were noted to have demolished houses using explosives in the town of Reşaf.
MOTORCYCLE TARGETED IN DRONE ATTACK
Meanwhile, an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle reportedly struck a motorcycle traveling along the coastal road in the town of Nakura.
EVACUATION CALL MADE TO CIVILIANS
Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee, in a statement made during the morning hours, called on civilians living in 16 towns outside the occupied areas to evacuate the region. Adraee threatened attacks against residents of Ganduriye, Burc Kalavay, Kalavay, Suvane, Cimcimiye, Safed ed-Bıddih, Beraşit, Şakra, Ayta el-Cebel, Tebnin, Sultaniye, Bir es-Senabil, Dunin, Hırbet Silm, Sila and Deyr Kifa.
