Death toll in air offensive has reached 28, including 1 woman, 10 kids, 152 more people hurt, says authority.

Israeli fighter jets continued to pound Palestinian homes and agricultural lands in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

The death toll in Israel's deadly ongoing air offensive increased to 28 by Tuesday evening, including one woman and 10 children, while 152 more people have been injured since the air raids started on Monday, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Israeli warplanes targeted an inhabited house in Gaza City and agricultural lands and sites in the neighborhoods of Tal al-Hawa and al-Zaytoun in the southern part of the besieged region, an Anadolu Agency correspondent reported.

The Israeli army claims to have killed 15 members of Hamas in strikes on 130 positions in Gaza since Monday.

The Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a statement that it has fired more rockets targeting the Israeli cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod in response to Israel's attacks on homes of Palestinian civilians.

According to Israeli media reports, two Israelis have been killed and eight more people injured, one of them seriously, in the rocket attacks.
