Istanbul Stock Exchange's second wave operation: 4 people arrested.

In the investigation conducted regarding the allegation of manipulation in certain transactions on the Borsa İstanbul stock market, 4 out of the 11 suspects who were detained have been arrested.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has completed the procedures of 11 suspects who were detained in the second wave of operations conducted as part of the investigation into allegations of manipulation in some transactions on the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) stock market.

4 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

After health checks, the suspects were taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. Following the procedures at the prosecutor's office, the suspects A.K, B.Ç, E.Ö.K, and H.G were ordered to be arrested by the peace criminal court. Judicial control measures were applied to the suspects S.D, K.D, E.Y, İ.K.B, K.B, K.İ.B, and E.B.

In a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the investigation initiated on allegations of manipulation in some transactions on the BIST stock market, it was stated that the investigation into the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime," "violating the Capital Markets Law," and "laundering assets derived from crime" has been expanded.

It was reported in the statement that the Capital Markets Board had submitted a written application after detecting manipulation regarding the shares of Pamel Renewable Electricity Production Joint Stock Company (PAMEL) with its newly dated report, and as a result, the second wave of operations was carried out.

The statement indicated that 11 suspects were detained in operations conducted in Istanbul and Van.
