The Dubai chocolate, which became popular on social media, is losing its fame, while the Adana chocolate developed by the Adana confectioner Zeynep Geyik is gaining significant attention and its sales are rapidly increasing. Highlighted as a local and national flavor, Adana chocolate is made with the 'Cennet Çamuru' (Heavenly Mud) from Kilis, which is certified with a geographical indication.
The Dubai chocolate, which went viral on social media, continues to sell out as the Adana chocolate, reinterpreted by the Adana confectioner, takes its place as the product known as Dubai chocolate, while its popularity wanes.
Thanks to the shares made on social media, Dubai chocolate became one of the most consumed products of 2024. However, like every popularity, the fame of Dubai chocolate has also begun to fade.
Adana confectioner Zeynep Geyik created Adana Chocolate by reinterpreting the 'Cennet Çamuru' (Heavenly Mud) from Kilis, which is certified with a geographical indication. The Adana chocolate, which has been on the menu for about 3 months and is almost sold out, continues to be consumed as a "local and national" flavor.
"OUR CHOCOLATES ARE VERY POPULAR"
Regarding the Adana chocolate sold in flashy packaging, Zeynep Geyik stated, "There was a trend of Dubai chocolate with Kilis' Cennet Çamuru. We sell it as Adana chocolate in our establishment. This product is also on our menu and we are seeing high demand. Our sales are very good. Every customer who comes likes it, and it attracts a lot of attention because it is called Adana chocolate," she said.
"OUR ADANA CHOCOLATE TREND CONTINUES"
Emphasizing that the trend of Dubai chocolate has ended, Geyik said, "The Dubai chocolate trend is over, but our Adana chocolate trend continues. We work primarily with Adana chocolate 4-5 days a week. We are seeing a strong demand," she added.
