MURDER OVER A 500 LIRA DEBT

According to the information obtained; a person named Ali went to collect his 500 lira debt from Selim Attal, a Syrian national, along with his brother Ahmet Attal and a friend named Samet. A dispute over the debt arose between the four people who met on the street and the debtor. The argument over the 500 lira debt quickly escalated into a fight. The debtor took the gun he had in his vehicle and began firing repeatedly. Selim Attal was seriously injured by the bullets, while the person named Samet was shot in the leg.

ONE OF THE THREE SUSPECTS CAPTURED

While health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the surrounding people, the armed assailant and the two individuals with him fled the scene.

While Selim Attal, one of the injured, died after being taken to the hospital, it was learned that the person named Samet was not in life-threatening condition. The police captured one of the three fleeing suspects.

The father Ala Attal, who received his son's body from the Forensic Medicine Institution, said, "My son was in the 9th grade. He was a quiet child, going back and forth from school to home. We are originally from Syria, we came after the war. He left home with his brother. He was leaving something somewhere. Half an hour later, I got a call saying, 'come urgently.' When I got to the hospital, my child was dead. One person shot my son, I don't understand how this happened. I don't know the details, my child is here, his brother is at the police station. They took his brother to the police station last night to take his statement, he still hasn't come out," he said.

The father, stating that he wants justice and fairness, said, "I don't know how a 14-year-old child died like this. He hasn't seen anything in this life, he was a child. We saw war, nothing happened there. We came here and he died here."
