The accident occurred around 10:00 PM on Yeni İstanbul Street in the Sancak neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district. According to the information obtained, the car, whose driver's name has not yet been identified, was traveling from the direction of Fırat Junction towards the bus station when it lost control and crashed into a tree on the median.

One passenger in the vehicle was ejected during the accident and sustained serious injuries. The driver was pulled out of the vehicle by other drivers while a small fire broke out in the car. Emergency health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene following a report made to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

After the initial intervention by the health teams, the injured were taken to the hospital. The fire that broke out in the vehicle was extinguished by the fire department. While police teams conducted their investigation, traffic flow was maintained in a controlled manner, and after the vehicle involved in the accident was removed from the road, traffic returned to normal.
