German Football Federation signed a 4-year contract with experienced head coach Jürgen Klopp to replace Julian Nagelsmann, who failed at the 2026 World Cup.
Germany, who bid farewell to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the round of 16 after losing to Paraguay on penalties, parted ways with head coach Julian Nagelsmann. Jürgen Klopp has been appointed to the vacant position of the German national team.
CONTRACT SIGNED UNTIL 2030
The German Football Association brought German coach Jürgen Klopp to the helm of the team following Nagelsmann. In a statement on the German Football Association's official website, it was announced that a contract was signed with Klopp until 2030.
MOST RECENTLY SERVED AS FOOTBALL DIRECTOR
The 59-year-old coach previously managed Mainz, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool, and most recently served as Global Football Director at Red Bull.

Jürgen Klopp, who won 2 Bundesliga titles, 2 German Super Cups, and 1 German Cup with Dortmund, also achieved success with Liverpool, winning the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, and Community Shield once each, and the English League Cup twice.
HAD NOT BEEN A HEAD COACH FOR 2 YEARS
Jürgen Klopp, who had not actively served as a head coach since leaving Liverpool in 2024 and had been away from the football fields, had not managed any team at the club level during this period.
