PURPOSE OF THE ACTION PLAN
The Lake Van Basin Conservation Action Plan and Implementation Program, under the leadership of Emine Erdogan and coordinated by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, was launched in 2021 with the aim of wastewater management, bottom mud cleaning, and combating illegal construction.
The project, which includes work in many areas from bottom mud cleaning to the integration of treatment plants, from coastlines to riverbeds, aims to secure the ecological future of the region.
