The words spoken years ago by the legendary Yeşilçam actor Kadir İnanır, who passed away at the age of 77, about his mother have begun to be discussed again after his death. In an interview years ago, İnanır said, "I applied all the methods I knew to make you fall, my son, but you didn't die. It turns out you were meant to be Kadir İnanır."
Kadir İnanır, one of the masters of Turkish cinema, passed away at the age of 77 due to organ failure while being treated for pneumonia in the hospital. Following the sad news that plunged the art world into mourning, interviews and statements made by the master actor in previous years have come to the forefront again.
In particular, the words he shared about his mother in the documentary 'The Man from the North' directed by Hüseyin Karabey were reshared by thousands on social media.
'SO YOU WERE MEANT TO BE KADİR İNANIR'
In the documentary, Kadir İnanır recounted his mother's words to him, sharing the memory that influenced his life with these statements:
'There is a saying of my mother that shaped my life: She said, 'I tried all the methods I knew to make you fall, my son, but you didn't die. So you were meant to be Kadir İnanır after all.''
This memory shared by the master actor years ago has resurfaced after his death, once again moving his fans.
'THERE WAS NO SPECIAL REQUEST OR WILL'
Speaking in front of the hospital where İnanır passed away, his nephew Levent İnanır said, 'There were problems with his lungs and kidneys. His organs were exhausted. He was exhausted, his heart was exhausted. There was no special request, no will. We will do our best to honor Kadir İnanır in the best way possible. We will bid him farewell in a manner befitting him.'
FUNERAL PROGRAM ANNOUNCED
The first ceremony for Kadir İnanır will be held on Sunday, June 28 (tomorrow) at 1:00 PM at Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage.
After the memorial ceremony there, Kadir İnanır's body will be brought to Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque. Following the funeral prayer, İnanır will be laid to rest in Ulus Cemetery with prayers.
HE LOST HIS SISTER 3 DAYS AGO
Altun Arıca, the mother of artist Soner Arıca, Levent İnanır, and the late national football player Erdoğan Arıca, and sister of actor Kadir İnanır, passed away on June 23. Arıca was bid farewell on June 24 in the Fatsa district of Ordu.
