It has been learned that İsmail Ahmet Akçay, the driver of fugitive businessman Kasım Garipoğlu, who was arrested as part of a drug investigation in Istanbul, has applied to the prosecutor's office to benefit from effective remorse. Through his lawyer, Akçay reportedly communicated that he has a "famous list" of 25 people he claims to have attended parties with, and he is preparing to share these names within the scope of the investigation file.
A significant development has occurred in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which recently made headlines with the detention of famous names such as Can Yaman and Selen Görgüzel. A potential "secret witness," who is a candidate to be one of the key figures in the investigation, has reached out to the prosecutor's office from prison.
CHANGED DECISION IN PRISON
At the center of the events is businessman Kasım Garipoğlu, who has an arrest warrant against him for allegedly organizing 'drug and sexual relationship parties' at his luxury villa in Istanbul and is currently on the run. İsmail Ahmet Akçay, Garipoğlu's driver, who was previously detained but not arrested due to insufficient testimony, has changed his decision in prison.
WILL BENEFIT FROM EFFECTIVE REMORSE PROVISIONS
According to journalist Mustafa Kadir Mercan's report, the detained driver Akçay has applied to the prosecutor's office, stating that he wants to benefit from the "effective remorse" provisions.

İsmail Ahmet Akçay's lawyer, Doğukan Toktaş, confirmed that his client will make a new application to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Toktaş claimed that Akçay offered to cooperate with the prosecutor's office by saying, "I have a list of 25 famous people who attended the parties."
