Kayserispor, who parted ways with Sinan Kaloğlu, has appointed Bosnian-Croatian coach Sergej Jakirovic as their new head coach. Jakirovic, who has signed a 1.5-year contract, was most recently in charge of Dinamo Zagreb. The 48-year-old coach was dismissed after losing 9-2 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Trendyol Super League team Kayserispor has appointed Bosnian-Croatian coach Sergej Jakirovic, who last managed Dinamo Zagreb, after parting ways with Sinan Kaloğlu.
1.5 YEAR AGREEMENT REACHED
The club's statement included the following words;
"Our club has reached a 1.5-year agreement with Sergej Jakirovic for the position of Head Coach. Most recently serving as the Head Coach of Dinamo Zagreb, Sergej Jakirovic has achieved successful results in UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League matches, and has maintained an average of 2 points per match in national leagues. We wish the agreement to be beneficial for both Sergej Jakirovic and our club."
DISMISSED AFTER 9-2 LOSS TO BAYERN
Dinamo Zagreb parted ways with their head coach Sergej Jakirovic following a 9-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Under Jakirovic's management, Dinamo won 41 of the 60 matches they played. Additionally, they drew in 10 matches and lost 9.
