In Kastamonu, citizens helping an injured person in a car that crashed into a median were hit by another vehicle. In the chain-reaction accident, 6 people were injured, one seriously.
In Kastamonu, another vehicle hit citizens trying to help an injured person from a car that crashed into a median on Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard. The out-of-control vehicle then crashed into a parked car before stopping. In the accident scene described as a market of lives, 6 people were injured, 1 seriously.
DRIVER STUCK IN VEHICLE, CITIZENS RUSHED TO HELP
The accident occurred on Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard in Saraçlar Neighborhood, Kastamonu Center. According to information obtained, the Tofaş brand car with license plate 37 SE 152, driven by M.A.E., lost control after the driver lost steering control and crashed into the curb on the median. Citizens passing by stopped their vehicles and rushed to help the driver stuck in the car. While the injured driver was being removed from the vehicle, a Tempra brand car with license plate 37 ADE 210, driven by A.Ö., traveling in the same direction, went out of control and first crashed into the accident vehicle and citizens trying to help, then into a parked car belonging to E.K. with license plate 78 AAV 440 on the roadside.
Due to the impact, the engine compartment of the car with license plate 37 ADE 210 caught fire. Upon notification, Kastamonu Municipality fire brigade teams arrived at the scene and quickly extinguished the burning vehicle.
1 INJURED PERSON IN CRITICAL CONDITION
In the chain accident, drivers A.Ö. and M.A.E. along with E.V., Ş.A., Ö.B., and İsmail B. were injured. Multiple ambulances and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial intervention by health teams, the injured were taken to Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital by ambulances. It was learned that İsmail B.'s health condition remains critical among the injured.
After the accident, traffic teams took security measures at the scene and conducted investigations. Traffic, which came to a standstill due to the accident, returned to normal after vehicles were removed from the road and cleaning operations were completed.
