According to local media reports, Maduro met with the Chinese delegation about 12 hours before the attacks in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.
During the meeting held at the Miraflores Palace in the capital, the cooperation between the two countries was discussed with the Chinese delegation led by China's special representative Qiu Xiaoqi. The meeting was also attended by Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, Foreign Minister Yvan Gil, and China's Ambassador to Caracas, Lan Hu.
LAST DIPLOMATIC MEETING
During the meeting, over 600 bilateral agreements signed between Venezuela and China were reviewed, and ongoing close cooperation between the two countries in areas such as energy, trade, and infrastructure was evaluated. The meeting was Maduro's last official diplomatic meeting before the U.S. attacks on the country.
MADURO WAS KIDNAPPED
Explosion sounds were heard in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas. In a statement from the Venezuelan government, the U.S. was held responsible for the attacks, and it was noted that President Nicolas Maduro signed a decree declaring a "state of emergency due to foreign intervention" across the country.
