In the Sarıgöl district of Manisa, a father and his 5-year-old son lost their lives as a result of the car crashing into a streetlight and barriers, while the driver, who is the wife, was seriously injured.

FIRST HIT THE POLE, THEN THE BARRIERS

The car with the license plate 45 AKG 328, driven by Ümmü Gül Ulutaş (25), crashed into a streetlight near the Ahmetağa neighborhood on the Denizli-Manisa highway. The car, which was thrown off by the impact, hit the barriers. Emergency health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.

FATHER AND SON DIED, MOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED

Health teams determined that the driver’s wife, Samet Ulutaş (30), died at the scene of the accident.

The seriously injured driver Ümmü Gül Ulutaş and her 5-year-old son Necip Ulutaş were taken to Alaşehir State Hospital by ambulances. Despite the intervention at the hospital, the little boy could not be saved.

The bodies of the deceased father and son were received by their relatives from the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institution. The bodies of Samet Ulutaş and his son Necip Ulutaş, brought to the Sarıgöl district, were buried in the district cemetery after the funeral prayer held at Hüseyin Gümüşlü Mosque in the afternoon.
