Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro danced to a remix of his own peace slogans during a student rally held in the capital, Caracas. This event drew attention after Maduro sang John Lennon’s famous song "Imagine," at a time when U.S. warships were patrolling near Venezuela's shores.

In a video taken at the rally, Maduro is seen dancing in rhythm with the music, making "pew pew" gestures with his fingers, and swaying in a manner reminiscent of Trump’s characteristic dance style, but in a more relaxed way.

The played remix features words compiled from Maduro's speeches on peace and anti-war sentiments. Reuters described this remix as "Peace, yes. War, no."

During the rally, Maduro also mentioned John Lennon. Referring to Lennon as a "poet and musician," Maduro encouraged young people to read the lyrics of the song and described the piece as "a peace anthem for every generation." In the middle of his speech, Maduro recited a few lines of the song and shared his thoughts on its meaning:

"What a beautiful song. Young people, make sure to examine the lyrics. This song is always inspiring. John Lennon has left a march for every generation with this gift to humanity. Long live the memory of the great poet and musician John Lennon."

Meanwhile, the U.S. has increased its military presence in the Caribbean. Bombers, warships, and Marines have been deployed in the region as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking. Airstrikes have also been carried out against suspected smuggling vessels.

On Monday, the U.S. State Department designated a group called "Cartel de los Soles" (Cartel of the Suns) as a foreign terrorist organization. This group is known to consist of government and military officials in Venezuela and is linked to drug trafficking.
