The Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, announced that the leader of the organization, Kerim Dağlıoğlu, who was wanted by our country with a red notice, was captured in the "ARGAY" operation organized in Spain with the participation of the Narcotics Crimes Combat Presidency. "42 DRUG TRAFFICKERS CAPTURED AND ARRESTED"Minister Yerlikaya continued his statement as follows; "In the Argay Operation; a total of 42 drug traffickers, including Kerim Dağoğlu, who is internationally wanted for narcotics crimes by our country, as well as citizens of Spain, Germany, Austria, Syria, Montenegro, Romania, Ukraine, Argentina, and Venezuela, were captured and arrested. 400 POLICE OFFICERS FROM TURKEY PARTICIPATED IN THE OPERATIONThe operations in Spain, which have been ongoing for about 9 months and started on June 11 within the framework of police cooperation, were attended by more than 400 police officers consisting of French, Spanish Guardia Civil, and Turkish Police. OVER 2 TONS OF CANNABIS SEIZEDIn the operations and house searches carried out in Granada, Malaga, and Seville; over 2 tons of cannabis, numerous firearms, luxury vehicles, and cash were seized. Spanish, French, and Turkish narcotics police, supported by Europol, worked shoulder to shoulder against drug traffickers. We are determined to fight against organized crime groups and drug cartels not only locally, regionally, and nationally but also internationally. I congratulate our Narcotics Crimes Combat Presidency and our heroic police officers, who are an important part of this historic international operation.
