"MY END HAS COME"
The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Kayabaşı Neighborhood, affiliated with the Kale district of Denizli. According to the information obtained, 61-year-old Durmuş Nazalı, who was engaged in farming in the neighborhood, was found dead in the Sazak Pond.
According to the claim, Nazalı called his relative, Kayabaşı Neighborhood Headman Hasan Sarıkavak, shortly before the incident and said, "My end has come." It was learned that Sarıkavak asked him to stay calm and not do anything wrong, inquiring what the problem was. It was reported that Nazalı mentioned the pond he was at and asked to notify the gendarmerie and 112 Emergency Health teams.
HE CALLED THE HEADMAN
After the phone call, which lasted approximately 4 minutes and 10 seconds, Nazalı hung up. Headman Hasan Sarıkavak, along with a friend who knew how to swim, quickly set off toward the pond. Taking a rope from their vehicle, the pair found Durmuş Nazalı's shoes and mobile phone upon reaching the pond shore.
FOUND 50 METERS FROM HIS BELONGINGS
Upon the report, gendarmerie and health teams arrived at the scene. Following search efforts initiated in the area, Durmuş Nazalı's lifeless body was found in the pond approximately 50 meters away from where his belongings were located, after about 2 hours of work. Nazalı's body, removed from the water by the teams, was sent to the forensic medicine institution for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, after on-site investigations.
