At the "I Am Unfurling the Flag" rally organized by the İYİ Party in Ankara's Tandoğan Square, the square was adorned solely with Turkish flags. While leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu conveyed the message, "Today, there is no party here, only Turkey," numerous CHP figures, including Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, also attended the rally.
The Good Party organized a "I Am Unfurling the Flag" rally with broad participation in Ankara's Tandoğan Square.
ONLY TURKISH FLAGS WERE DISPLAYED
The most striking detail in the square, filled with numerous party members from all over Turkey, was the absence of any political party flags. The entire square was adorned exclusively with Turkish flags.
DERVİŞOĞLU: THE NATION WANTS ITS FLAG, ITS REPUBLIC, ITS RIGHT, ITS FREEDOM, AND JUSTICE
Good Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who took the stage, likened the square to a "poppy field" and said: "I would have liked to count all 81 provinces one by one, but I see there is no need; Turkey has become a flag, present in this square. Today, there is no party, no faction, no personal accounts here. In Tandoğan Square, there is only Turkey. The nation wants its flag, its Republic, its right, its freedom, and justice. It wants back its trampled dignity and usurped sovereignty."
CHP'S MANSUR YAVAŞ AND MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT ALSO ATTENDED
Meanwhile, it was observed that the rally was attended by Good Party members of parliament, deputy chairmen, members of the presidential board, provincial heads, and party members, as well as CHP's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Çankaya Municipality Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, Aydın MP Bülent Tezcan, and Karaman MP İbrahim Atakan Ünver. Moments when Yavaş greeted citizens attending the rally from the podium were also captured by cameras.
