The former coach of Samsunspor, Markus Gisdol, announced the offer he received from Beşiktaş. Gisdol stated, "There have been discussions with Beşiktaş. That's true. Finally, the German coach Markus Gisdol, who manages Samsunspor, one of the teams in the Trendyol Super League, made statements regarding his career plans and the Super League. Gisdol also revealed the offer he received from Beşiktaş.
"THE SUPER LEAGUE DOES NOT SEE THE VALUE IT DESERVES"
The 55-year-old coach stated in an interview with HT Sport, "Our experience here was very valuable for us. We met very nice people. The quality of the league does not see the value it deserves in Europe, but it is possible to change this. Generally, the football quality here is not immediately visible. A lot of progress has not been made, but there are very good players and coaches. However, marketing this is a great need for the Super League. Turkey is currently not seeing the value it deserves," he said.
THE PROCESS OF LEAVING SAMSUNSPOR
Speaking about the process of leaving Samsunspor, Gisdol said, "Our agreement was only to save the team from there. We did not come here with a long-term plan since I arrived. We parted amicably when leaving, and everyone continued on their way," he stated.

Addressing the referee discussions in the Super League, the German coach said, "I want to protect the referees because the last thing I would want to do in Turkey is refereeing. A great responsibility falls on the federation and the authorities. I think referees should not be burdened this much. An environment must be created where referees can do their jobs well," he said.

In response to the question, "Did you receive an offer from Beşiktaş?" Markus Gisdol said, "Meetings took place at Beşiktaş. That's true. But there were also meetings with other clubs. We do not want to look at why it happened or did not happen. What is important for us is the future project. We want to start a project we believe in. It would be nice if it is in Turkey, but it can also be in another part of Europe," he replied.

Gisdol also stated, "We do not have high expectations. Just like at Samsunspor, we need a president and a sports director who support us. The squad structure must be solid.
