French President Emmanuel Macron and the President of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, called for the resumption of integration talks between the terrorist organization YPG/SDF and the Damascus administration in accordance with the March 10 Agreement.
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, held a phone conversation with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Nechirvan Barzani.

In a statement from the Elysee Palace, it was reported that Macron and Barzani discussed many regional issues, including Syria, over the phone. The statement included, "(Macron and Barzani) expressed their concerns regarding the ongoing conflicts, particularly in Deir Hafir and Meskene, and called on all parties to immediately reduce tensions and ensure a lasting ceasefire."
CALL FOR IMMEDIATE START OF DISCUSSIONS ON SDF'S INTEGRATION INTO SYRIA
The statement indicated that Macron and Barzani expressed their expectation for the discussions on the integration of the terrorist organization YPG/SDF into the Syrian state, in accordance with the March 10, 2025 Agreement, to be "immediately" resumed, and that the two politicians supported the conclusion of these discussions as soon as possible for the unity and stability of Syria.
The statement noted that Macron and Barzani emphasized that the protection of the people in the region is entirely the responsibility of the Syrian authorities.
