The zoo in the Darıca district of Kocaeli, which has been serving for 33 years and is visited by hundreds of people every day, has been closed. The animals in the zoo have been sent to other zoos in different provinces.
The Zoo and Botanical Park, which has become a focal point for local and foreign tourists in Darıca, has decided to close.
286 ANIMAL SPECIES WERE PRESENT
The private company operating the zoo, which opened in 1993 and houses 286 animal species and approximately 3,600 animals in the botanical park section, which includes 600 plant species and over 8,000 plants, has completely halted visitor entry.
ANIMALS WERE SENT TO DIFFERENT CITIES
The animals inside were sent to zoos located in different cities of Turkey.
