A new development has occurred regarding Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the Editor-in-Chief of Habertürk, who was detained in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The TMSF, which oversees Habertürk, has removed Ersoy from his position.

As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Habertürk Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy was taken into custody by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams on charges of 'Purchasing Drugs or Stimulants for Use', 'Accepting or Possessing', or 'Using Drugs or Stimulants, providing a place and means for their use'.

Additionally, it has been learned that a detention order was issued for 8 suspects within the scope of the investigation, and that besides Mehmet Akif Ersoy, 3 other suspects were also taken into custody.

TMSF REMOVED FROM OFFICE

Following Ersoy's removal from office, TMSF also took action. TMSF, which is in charge of Habertürk's management, removed Ersoy from the position of Editor-in-Chief of Habertürk.
