Turkey's supply of advanced anti-aircraft and drone missiles to Iran, along with the claim that a U.S. F-15 fighter jet was shot down by a Turkish-made shoulder-fired anti-aircraft system, has caused public outrage. The Communications Directorate, which denied the claim reported by some news outlets, stated, "Turkey maintains a stance that prioritizes the preservation of peace and stability in all processes in the region."
The Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) denied claims that the U.S. F-15 fighter jet was shot down by a Turkish-made shoulder-fired anti-aircraft system.
A STATEMENT FROM THE PRESIDENCY
In a post made on DMM's social media account, it was stated, "The claims circulating on some social media accounts and disinformation-focused platforms, stating that 'Turkey has supplied advanced anti-aircraft and drone missiles to Iran, and the U.S. F-15 fighter jet, which is claimed to have been shot down, was hit by a Turkish-made shoulder-fired anti-aircraft system' are completely unfounded and do not reflect the truth. Such false claims, which can be guessed as to their source, are deliberate psychological warfare attacks and black propaganda attempts aimed at undermining Turkey's constructive role in regional crises and its efforts focused on peace and diplomacy."

In the statement, which said that Turkey has taken a stance to maintain peace and stability in the region, it was emphasized, "Turkey maintains a stance that prioritizes the preservation of peace and stability in all processes in the region. These perception operations targeting our country's globally recognized diplomatic success aim to mislead the international public. Such dirty information dissemination activities aimed at manipulating public opinion and targeting the sensitive balances in the region should not be trusted. It is of great importance to be cautious against speculative statements from unofficial sources."
